I believe Telemachus, son of odysseus, Is in fact a hero based on the elements of the Hero's Journey. He is a hero, because he never gives up in finding his dad. He eventually finds his dad odysseus, and all the hard work he put use, payed off. Telemachus never gave up on the search for his dad. This makes him a hero because he didnt even know his dad, and he still didnt give up on someone he didnt know. Telemachus is a true hero, because he saved his father and his palace all single handed.
You mention the hero's journey, but do not cite specific examples of it. He also did NOT save his father or the palace single-handed. He in fact was more of a helper than the main guy (but that's from other books, anyway, and outside the scope of this assignment).
